Palladium nickel plating on contacts to increase mating cycles to 10,000.

All insulators are safe for IR wave soldering.

Convenient slide latch retention allows immediate connector disengagement.

.050 pitch to save board space.
Crimp contacts for the cable result in lower applied cost.
Available in single high versions (9,15 and 25 contacts) and stacked versions on two connectors (18 and 30 contacts).

SSA picked us

The ANSI committee on Serial Storage Architecture (SSA) selected ITT Cannon's MDSM as to "I/O of Choice" for all SSA external connector applications worldwide.

SSA is a powerful, new high performance serial interface specifically designed to connect disk drives, optical drives, CD ROMs, tape drives, printers, scanners and other peripherals to computers, workstations, servers and storage subsystems.

SSA is intended to correct limitations inherent in today's parallel connection and other proposed serial connections.

MDSM's features were ideal to help SSA meet its goals of increased reliability and performance.
